Haldi & Mehndi Decoration Ideas in Delhi NCR

Haldi and mehendi are the most colourful days of a wedding, and the décor is what makes them feel like ceremonies rather than gatherings. If you are planning yours in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Greater Noida or Ghaziabad, this is a guide to what these setups are actually made of, what they cost, and the two decisions that matter most.

These are not balloon setups

It is worth saying plainly, because almost everything else on this site is. Haldi and mehendi decoration is built from fabric, marigold and fresh flowers — drapes, torans, tassels, bamboo frames, floral arches, urlis and petals. The haldi and mehendi range runs from ₹4,500 to ₹16,000 and divides into three groups by material.

Fabric setups: ₹4,500 and ₹5,000

The two entry setups are draped backdrops with traditional decorative elements.

Kite & Tassel Mehendi Backdrop at ₹4,500 uses yellow, green and red drapes with colourful kite-shaped decor, traditional tassels and toran, dreamcatcher-style hangings and two decorative umbrellas.

Marigold & Drapes Haldi Setup at ₹5,000 keeps the yellow and green draping and adds a marigold flower border, decorative lanterns, floral floor decoration and a "Mehendi Lagao" signage board.

Both hold their look all day, which matters for a ceremony that starts in the morning and runs on.

Marigold and fresh flowers: ₹11,000 to ₹16,000

Premium Marigold Haldi Setup at ₹11,000 is where flowers take over from fabric — a full marigold backdrop on a traditional bamboo frame, marigold hangings, a decorative urli, lanterns and fresh greenery.

The two largest are built around a circular fresh-flower arch. Floral Arch Haldi & Mehendi at ₹14,000 adds fairy lights, decorative pots, a floral floor urli and rose petals. Bridal Chair Haldi Setup at ₹16,000 takes the same arch in yellow and white with pink, yellow and green draping — and adds the bride's chair.

Decision one: the chair

This is the thing to settle before you compare prices, and it is the question most people ask last.

Only the ₹16,000 setup includes seating for the bride, on a decorative urli-style base. In every other package the backdrop and floor are built and the seating is yours to provide. At a haldi the bride is seated through most of the ceremony, and almost every photograph taken that morning is of her seated — so the chair is not a detail, it is the centre of the frame. If you are choosing a cheaper package, arrange the seating yourself and tell us what it looks like so the setup is built around it.

Decision two: fresh flowers and timing

Fabric and marigold hold all day. A fresh-flower arch looks its best early and fades as the day warms, which is why we would rather build the ₹14,000 and ₹16,000 setups close to the ceremony than the evening before.

Tell us the ceremony time when you book and we will work backwards from it rather than from our own convenience.

Indoors, terraces and lawns

These go up in banquet halls, society community halls, on terraces and on lawns. Three things are worth checking before you book:

• Whether the venue permits an outside decorator — the most common reason a booking has to move
• Whether there is a restriction on fixing to walls, or a height limit
• Whether the space is outdoors, in which case wind is the real constraint on a draped backdrop or a tall arch, far more than rain

The celebration before the ceremony

Haldi and mehendi are the ceremonies. The bridal shower, the bachelorette and the engagement party are a different thing entirely, and they are balloon-led rather than floral — that is the bride to be range, ₹2,499 to ₹4,499, with a Bride To Be neon sign, ring frames and arches. Two of those packages include a cake table; the haldi setups do not.

Where we set up, and how to book

Share the ceremony date, the venue and the time the setup has to be standing. A 20% advance confirms it; the balance is settled once the setup is complete and our team is still on site. Cancellation terms are on the booking policies page — more than 24 hours' notice is a full refund.
